Who are we?
RheinFurs e.V. is an association based in Weiterstadt, with a strong presence throughout the Rhine-Main region as well as in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate. Our focus is on organizing events centered around the popular subculture of anthropomorphic animal characters better known as the furry fandom.
At our events, we offer everyone interested the opportunity to fully enjoy their hobby. To that end, we develop creative event concepts that, among other things, are ideally suited for wearing fursuits. A safe, tolerant, and open environment is particularly important to us: We want everyone regardless of background, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or gender identity to feel completely at ease, have fun, and be able to connect with like-minded people.

How do the RheinFurs contribute to the public good?
In accordance with the bylaws of Rheinfurs e.V., the association seeks to operate as a nonprofit organization. To this end, the association invests surplus funds from revenue and donations in the promotion of art, culture, and animal welfare. In addition to the events that Rheinfurs organizes throughout the year, the association selects a partner organization each year as part of a charity project and supports it with special grants.

Luna
Whether she's juggling lines of code or leading the team, Luna always makes sure everything runs smoothly and everyone is happy. At the same time, she's always willing to listen to any concerns and comes up with solutions quickly and easily.
Snow
Without Snow, a lot of what we do at Rheinfurs wouldn't be possible. He manages our virtual infrastructure and is our developer for event software and other projects. He brings every request to life with enthusiasm, hard work, and code.
Silo
The Blue Fox is one of the active creative forces behind RheinFurs. As an all-rounder, he puts the finishing touches on everything and handles the administration and maintenance of the club’s identity.
Kennex
No matter what is needed, when, or where as an organizational all-rounder, Kennex effortlessly keeps track of all the club’s logistical processes and ensures that nothing is overlooked.
Nex
From the initial idea through planning to the end of the event, Nex acts as the coordinator to ensure that everything runs smoothly and keeps a cool head even in the most stressful situations. No matter what you need, Nex makes it happen!

Our history of origin
RheinFurs was founded in February 2022, when nine founding members established the association—including former leaders of the admin team for the Rheinland-Stammtisch, which was already known for organizing smaller events in the region.
The first plans for larger furry events actually emerged as early as 2020, at that time still under the banner of the Rheinland Stammtisch. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most of these plans had to be put on hold until 2022 a decision made with a heavy heart. Nevertheless, the name “RheinFurs” first appeared back then: A small, dedicated team consisting of Silo, Cyrix, and PC-Ente successfully organized the 2nd Mainz Suitwalk under this name.
This success was the starting point for more. To plan larger events and establish an independent, distinctive identity beyond the regulars' table, the RheinFurs decided to break new ground. Without further ado, they founded an association to provide a strong, legal, and professional foundation for event planning.
To this day, RheinFurs organizes numerous events in the region and is always on the lookout for hardworking volunteers to support the organization and help us continue writing our story together!
